حول الدورة
Commonly known as Imam al-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith, a classical work studied in various institutes as the first study of a Hadith collection. It is the most comprehensive, and holistic compilation of ahadith of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم that conveys the essence of Islam. He compiled a total of 42 hadiths for this collection and Allah (SWT) granted him blessing and success in his work so that he could make great contributions to Islam before passing away at a relatively young age.The Imam was a scholar in many different disciplines of Islamic studies and if an individual decides to study fiqh, hadith, spirituality, or Quran; one would need to pass through Imam al- Nawawi. Along with the 40 Hadiths, he authored Riyad al-Saliheen, Al-Adhkar, and commentary of Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari.
In this course, we will study the basics of Hadith, the Hadith - the reason of revelation, a short background of selected Rawat (Narrators), selected word meanings and the application of the Hadith in real life, ان شاء الله
The 42 Hadith collection is divided into two parts, spread over a 2-year course. Part A covering 20 ahadith and Part B covering 22 ahadith. ان شاء الله this academic year will cover Part A of the program.
This semester will continue from hadith 21 onwards...
Safwan ibn ‘Assal reported that Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said:
مَا مِنْ خَارِجٍ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ فِي طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا وَضَعَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَجْنِحَتَهَا رِضًا بِمَا يَصْنَعُ
'No one leaves their house in search of knowledge but that angels will lower their wings in approval of what he is doing.'
